Cornerman is a web SaaS product for interview prep, practice, live coaching, post-session review, and job-search assistance. Because resumes, job descriptions, interview transcripts, and application data are sensitive, this page explains what we collect, what we store, and which third-party providers process data.

1. What Cornerman captures

When you start a live coaching or practice session, Cornerman processes active-session audio and transcript text so it can produce real-time coaching hints and session reviews. Capture only happens while a session is explicitly active — you start it and you stop it.

In the voice-interview mode, Cornerman captures your spoken answers to interviewer questions and extracts structured candidate context (stories, strengths, motivations, working style) from those answers. You can review, edit, and lock individual context items before they are used elsewhere in the product.

2. What we do not store

We do not store audio recordings. Audio is processed during active sessions by transcription or voice providers and is not archived by Cornerman.

3. Third parties that touch your data

  • Deepgram— Receives active-session audio for real-time transcription and, in practice mode, voice-agent behavior. Deepgram's terms apply to its processing of that stream.
  • MiniMax — Receives short text snippets (recent transcript context plus a slice of your prep materials) so it can generate coaching hints. Audio is never sent to MiniMax.
  • Clerk — Handles authentication. Clerk receives your email and any profile fields you choose to provide.
  • Stripe — Handles payments for paid plans. Cornerman never sees or stores your card details.
  • Google Analytics and PostHog — Used for product and traffic analytics. We use analytics to understand aggregate usage, diagnose issues, and improve the product.
  • Resend— Sends marketing email and product update emails when you opt in (signup, exit-intent prompt, footer newsletter, or settings page). Resend receives your email, your name (if you provide one), and product event metadata (e.g. signup, prep created, session completed) so it can deliver and personalize those messages. You can opt out from any Resend email or in Cornerman's Settings page.
  • Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever — When you use the job search feature, Cornerman fetches public job listings from these provider APIs. Text from the listings you save is stored in your account. Your personal data is not sent to these providers.

4. What Cornerman stores

Cornerman stores the data needed to run your account and dashboard:

  • Resumes and versions — Uploaded resume files and their parsed structured data (work history, skills, education, achievements). Previous versions are retained until you delete them.
  • Candidate context — Stories, strengths, motivations, working style, values, and life context captured from voice interviews or entered manually. You can review, edit, lock, or delete individual items.
  • Voice interviews — Transcript text, question counts, duration, and extracted context from get-to-know-you voice interview sessions.
  • Job listings — Job titles, descriptions, company names, compensation data, and URLs for jobs you save or track.
  • Applications — Kanban-stage tracking, tailored resume versions, cover letter drafts, job-description analyses, prep analyses, notes, and activity history for each application you manage.
  • Job alerts — Saved search criteria (keywords, location, remote policy, company filters, salary range) and alert delivery preferences.
  • Session data — Prep analysis, transcript text, coaching suggestions, session summaries, scores, and usage counts.
  • Account and billing — Authentication identifier, email, plan, subscription status, settings, and LLM generation usage counts.

Production data is stored in the Cornerman backend database and associated with your authenticated account.

5. Cookies

The site uses essential cookies for authentication and billing flows, plus analytics cookies or similar technologies for aggregate traffic and product measurement.

6. Your rights

You can export stored account, resume, candidate-context, prep, session, transcript, suggestion, summary, score, job, application, voice-interview, and audit-event data from the Settings page. You can delete individual prep documents, sessions, resumes, applications, voice interviews, jobs, job alerts, and candidate-context items from within the dashboard. Full account deletion removes all stored data except limited audit and billing records needed for legal and operational integrity.

7. Retention

Cornerman stores your data until you delete it, close your account through supported flows, or we are required to retain limited records for legal, security, billing, or abuse-prevention reasons. We do not currently promise automatic deletion after a fixed period.

8. Audit events

Cornerman records audit events for account-setting changes, data exports, data deletions, and billing lifecycle changes. Audit events help us investigate account activity and verify that privacy controls ran as expected.

9. Changes

If we materially change how Cornerman handles your data, we'll update this page and note the change at the top.
